The following page has been compiled by Martin Melaugh to complement the Index of Deaths (1969-2001) by Malcolm Sutton. The information below is in draft form and should be treated with some caution. Some of the deaths listed below may be shown later to be unrelated to the conflict.

|Andrew Cully (47) Protestant
Status: Civilian (Civ), Killed by: Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF)
Shot dead at Beaufort Walk in the West Winds estate, Newtownards, County Down. [Motive for the killing was not clear at the time. Killing was attributed to the UVF in the First Report of the IMC.]

Status: Loyalist Volunteer Force (LVF), Killed by: Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF)
Shot dead at Alanbrooke Road, off Montgomery Road, in the Castlereagh area of Belfast. [Killing may have been part of a feud between the LVF and the UVF. Killing was attributed to the UVF in the Sixth Report of the IMC.]

|Kevin McAlorum (31) Catholic
Status: Civilian (Civ), Killed by: unknown
Shot dead outside Oakwood Integrated Primary School in Derriaghy, near Belfast. [Kevin McAlorum was also known as Kevin McGuinness. There was speculation that the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA) may have been involved in the killing.]

|Darren Thompson (22) Protestant
Status: Civilian (Civ) ?, Killed by: non-specific Loyalist group (LOY) ?
Shot, and mortally wounded, as he walked to work along Woodburn Park, in the Waterside area of Derry. Thompson was shot on 29 September 2004 and died on 1 October 2004. [There was speculation that the shooting may have been part of an on-going feud between Loyalist paramilitaries in the Waterside area.]

|Dominic Marron (38?) Catholic
Status: Civilian (Civ), Killed by:
Died of a heart attack on 17 August 2004. [His family believed that his death was related to injuries received when he was shot in the head with a batton round (plastic bullet) by an Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) officer on 9 May 1981. Marron suffered brain damage and spent time in intensive care.]
